Noise reduction for your heat pump and air conditioning unit

To a good neighborhood, even with dense construction!
For new systems and existing systems - easy, modular, quick and easy to install.
Picture

Standard acoustic hoods for heat pumps and air conditioning systems

Heat pumps and air conditioning systems with horizontal air flow.

Noise reduction down to -25 dB (A) through specifically developed air routing for both systems with horizontal and vertical air routing.

This in combination with specially developed insulation to prevent masking effects and sound reflection. On this page you will find standard models for systems with 1 or 2 fans.

All sound hoods have service doors around the systems.
A "plenum sheet" prevents an air short circuit between the air inlet and air outlet. Depending on the situation, the air inlet and air inlet openings can be placed around the system, which means that several systems can be set up in a row (cascade) without creating an air short circuit.

The acoustic enclosures are made with aluminum system profiles with a thickness of 5 cm and aluminum with a powder coating in RAL color of your choice, with a thickness of 1.5 or 2 mm with internal weather-resistant insulation with a thickness of 40 mm.

Acoustic enclosures - regardless of the manufacturer of your system

Our standard enclosures are suitable for heat pumps and air conditioning systems with horizontal air flow and are manufactured independently of the manufacturer. Below is a short selection of systems that can house like:

Viessmann, Weisshaupt, Vaillant, Buderus, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Bosch, Nibe, LG, Haider, Hoval, Aermec, Fujitsu, Sundez, Gree, Daikin, Rotex, Toshiba, Stiebel-Eltron, Alpha Innotec, Samsung etc ..

Acoustic Enclosures Design Criterias

  • Maximum sound insulation without loss of performance
  • The smallest possible dimensions
  • Adaptation to the environment (color, design)
  • Unhindered access to the systems for service and maintenance work
  • Use of weather-resistant and environmentally friendly materials

Acoustic Enclosure Basics

1) Enclosure base frame
Aluminum plug-in profiles with a thickness of 50 mm - assembly without screws in a few minutes.

2) Service doors
Around the plant made of 1.5 mm aluminum with internal 40 mm sound insulation and Door locks for free access for service and maintenance work.

3) Selectable air flow
Designed for that air volume of the system (Mirrored construction) Hole size 1.5 x 1.5 cm for Prevention of ice formation.

4) Sound insulation
Made of sound-absorbing closed-cell polyethylene foam panels with a thickness of 40 mm. Resistant to water and moisture. The insulation does not build up mold (fungi) and corresponds to fire protection class B1 (hardly inflammable). Optimal soundproofing over the Frequency band 65 – 8000 Hz

5) Air deflection
At a 90° angle, the vibration of the air flow from the fans breaks, thereby significantly reducing the noise level.

6) Air short circuit
The air chambers (air inlet / air outlet are hermetically separated in the hood (the separation is not mounted on the picture).

7) Fixing
Holes in the base profile enable the acoustic hood to be fixed on the underside Sound hood lying foundation by means M8 or M10 threaded rods.

8) Enclosure roof

Can be dismantled like the service doors. Protect the system from rain, hail, snow and dirt.

Acoustic Enclosures further details

Heat pumps and air conditioning systems with horizontal air flow.

Noise reduction down to -25 dB (A) through specifically developed air routing for both systems with horizontal and vertical air routing.

This in combination with specially developed insulation to prevent masking effects and sound reflection. Our offer includes enclosures for systems with 1 or 2 fans.

Acoustic enclosures for new installations and retrofitting

Our standard models, which cover around 80% of the air conditioning, mini VRV / VRF systems and heat pumps available on the market, can be delivered pre-assembled or as a kit.

The enclosures have no bottom and can be mounted like a hat over the existing installation.

This without changing the existing installation!

On request, the acoustic hoods can also be supplied with a lamellar floor with a condensate drain, mounting rails and rubber buffers for vibration decoupling.

Free choice of the RAL color of your enclosure

I want to find out what color a physical object is (example facade) How do I do that?

We recommend comparing the color of the object with the color samples in a physical color fan.

Please note that it can be a RAL color or a color from another color system that is used by a single paint manufacturer, for example. You should also take into account that the color on the object may have faded over time. RAL offers an electronic device that determines a RAL color by 'scanning' the object.

Attention with air conditioning we recommend from an energetic point of view the lightest colors possible and with heat pumps rather dark colors that heat up more in the sun.

NEW Acoustic enclosures with green roof

Planting of acoustic hood roofs (urban gardening)
More and more green areas are falling victim to the dense construction, the areas of the roofs of our acoustic hoods from 1.5 m2 to several m2 are an opportunity to gain small green areas by greening them. Especially with the experience that heat pumps and air conditioners in city centers are often located in inner courtyards and as technical systems do not meet the aesthetic needs of urban residents. Here, our acoustic hoods significantly improve the optical integration of the systems into the environment, firstly through the free choice of the RAL exterior color in combination with the greening of the roof.

Construction of the roof
Plants that do not require a large planting depth are suitable for planting on the acoustic hood roofs. The roof, developed as a plant tub, offers a planting depth of 20 cm. A filter fleece is integrated in the tub. A mixture of perlite and plant soil is suitable as the substrate for the plant tub. This combination allows the plant tub to be filled without creating a great deal of weight and offers the plants an ideal structure for root formation.

Acoustic comfort
The layering on the acoustic hood roof also increases the acoustic comfort and the sound insulation from above is further strengthened.

Energetic Benefits
When using acoustic hoods for air conditioning, the heating of the acoustic hood is also reduced in direct sunlight and thus reduces the delta T between the outside air and the required cooling capacity.

When used with heat pumps, the stratification in the plant tub serves as a kind of external insulation and leads to a slightly warmer atmosphere, which in turn can lead to a reduction in the energy-intensive de-icing cycles in heat pumps.

Bespoke enclosures

If your requirements cannot be covered with our standard hoods, we are there for the planning of specific applications.

The easiest way if you follow the steps below.

1. Send us the information below
Manufacturer, brand and model (exact designation) of the systems for which a sound hood is to be used. Further information on the location of the system and the desired RAL- color.

2. Sound hood specifications
We will calculate the sound hood based on the information on the system and provide you with detailed information about the sound hood.

This information includes: data on noise reduction, information on the air flows, dimensions, a rough sketch of the hood and the price including the expected installation costs.

3. Production and installation

If you agree with the offer and order the system, we will go into production.

4. Technical support
Once installed, we are happy to continue to help you optimize and maintain the system
